We will make every effort to see acutely ill patients within 24 hours. If your call is received by noon, urgent appointment are usually made the same day in our primary care clinic. We also offer a walk-in option in our urgent care clinic as well.
Note: The last urgent care/walk-in patient is accepted 30 minutes prior to closing on any day we are open (i.e. close @ 6:00 PM, last walk-in @ 5:30 PM; close at 3:00 PM, last walk-in @ 2:30 PM).
During your visit at NRMC, please remember to bring your insurance card, driver’s license, and payment for co-pay or deductible. If you have health insurance, we cannot see you without making a copy of your insurance card. Co-pay or deductible is always collected at check-in.
New Patient Forms
To help us prepare for your visit, please email us a copy of the front and back of your insurance card. Please include a birth date for yourself and the main insurance policy holder. Alternatively, you can fax the information to 919 844 3244.
Each calendar year we require our patients to fill out a new demographics form. You may fill out the form prior to your visit and bring it with you.
No Show Policy
Unless canceled at least 24 hours in advance, a fee of $20 may be charged for missed appointments.
Please be sure to refill all of your medications during your visit. If you need a refill, contact your pharmacy and ask them to send a request to our office. We ask that you Allow 48 hrs to process medication refill requests.
Prescriptions are refilled only for our established primary care patients. A prior appointment may be required depending on your medical condition. We do not write prescriptions for a controlled substance, including narcotic pain medication and stimulant ADD medicines.
Triage Protocol (for Established Patients)
Our clinic gives our patients an option to walk-in during regular business hours, including Saturdays. We reserve a minimum of one slot per hour for patients who prefer to walk-in for their immediate needs. Our goal is simply to avoid unnecessary visits to the emergency room. Should there a need after business hours, please call 919.844.4344 and your call will be automatically transferred to our auto-attendant system. We always have a provider on call 24/7.
Please note that true emergencies must be evaluated promptly at the nearest emergency dept. Please call 911 if you are truly experiencing an emergency.
There will be a fee of $25 for any checks returned by the bank.
We participate with:
Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Wellpath, Humana, United Health Care, and Aetna, MedCost, MedCost Preferred, PHCS, Medicare and Tricare Standard.
We will also file claims to other insurers, but expect payment in full at the time of service, Once we receive payment from your insurer, we will refund any credit to you. Co-payments and coinsurance are due at the time of service. Any balance after insurance payment will be billed to you. Please call your insurance company if you have any questions regarding your coverage and benefits using the customer service number listed on your card. Private pay patients are, of course, also welcome. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, cash, check or money order. We do not file claims to Workers Compensation or Automobile insurance claims. In these cases, you can be seen, but must pay in full and file the claims yourself.
