Welcome to the North Raleigh Medical Center. Our primary care clinic and walk-in clinic has been serving the Raleigh area for over 20 years. We see patients ages 16 and above, and manage a wide variety of medical illnesses.
North Raleigh Medical Center provides quality medical care for the entire family. Our primary care clinic provides quality care for many chronic illness including diabetes, asthma, hypertension and heart disease. Our urgent care clinic provides quality care for many acute illnesses and injuries on a “walk-in” basis where no appointment is needed! Our providers treat a range of common illnesses and conditions each day, with on-site X-ray and IV therapy available.

By offering the option to simply “walk-in” six days a week, we believe this service reduces unnecessary expensive emergency room visits, hence reduces overall healthcare costs. Amit Patel, MD from North Raleigh Endocrinology is a licensed endocrinologist who is affiliated with our clinic. His interests include the management of both diabetes and thyroid disease.
Dr. Patel completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at East Carolina University, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident and Assistant Professor in Medicine. He then completed his fellowship training in Endocrinology , Diabetes & Metabolism at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Denise Griffith, MS, RD, LDN from Healthy Diets Inc. periodically sees patients in our clinic. Denise has been a registered dietician for 37 years and a CDE (Certified Diabetes Educator) for over 18 years. Prior to joining Healthy Diets, Inc., Denise worked in corporate healthcare and wellness centers, cardiac rehabilitation centers and inpatient and outpatient diabetes centers.
Denise graduated from Central Michigan University with a BS in Dietetics and earned her Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from the University of Kentucky.
Behavioral Health Center:
Meagan Jones, MA, LPC from Bowman Family Services, Inc also periodically sees patients in our clinic. Meagan is a licensed professional counselor practicing for over 5 years. Meagan is passionate about helping others and has helped many people experience improved quality of life and spiritual and emotional healing through her counseling methods. Meagan specializes in crisis and trauma, marriage and family counseling, women’s issues, and healthy sexuality.
Meagan received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University and is finishing up work on her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Regent University.
The Providers at the North Raleigh Medical Center are dedicated to training the next generation of physicians and physician assistants. We commonly have students rotating from ECU Brody School of Medicine and UNC at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.
Alka Sachdeva, M.D.
Dr. Alka, graduated from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine with honors in 1996. She completed her internal medicine residency at Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has been practicing in the Raleigh area for over 15 years.
Emily Crosson, PA-C
Emily Crosson received her undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she received her BS in Biology. She completed her training at East Carolina University, where she earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant studies. She is certified by the North Carolina Medical Board. She has been with our clinic for over 8 years.
Valeriya Briggs, PA-C
Valeriya received her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her BS in Nutrition. She completed her training at Wake Forest University, where she earned her Master's in Physician Assistant studies. She is certified by the North Carolina Medical Board. She has been with our clinic for over 5 years.
